The Team

Josh O'Briant

Josh is the brains behind the Team Circuit Breaker designs, dedicated to working on the robots no matter what time it is. His degree is in robotics automation, and he is the kind of person, given sufficient resources, will come up with the perfect idea to excel beyond your expectations.

Melanie Dumas

Melanie just finished her master's degree at UC San Diego in Artificial Intelligence. She currently programs speech recognition into autonomous military robots. She wants to make automated vacuum bots, and never do housework again.

Greg Jones

Greg has an excellent mind for at all things mechanical. He builds custom vehicles for the physically disabled, combining creativity and durability to enhance the lives of others. When we're stuck trying to find a part, Greg is the man to ask!

Matthew Jones

Matt is not only great with numbers, he's great at applying them. He takes the skills learned at a machine shop over the summer, adds some physics, and all of a sudden stronger, faster robots appear on the paper in front of him.

Patrick Jones

Patrick has tons of great ideas for robot designs, and he works hard to put them together. He has his father's mechanical skill, and I can't wait to see what he will accomplish!

Stuart Gold

Dr. Gold is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the world. One of his many specialties is surgery to extend the length of the bone itself. In his spare time, he runs down to San Diego to perform surgery on Little Blue Engine!

Jordan Gold

Jordan is an aspiring roboticist, and has the intellect to accomplish his prodigious goals. Jordan is learning robotics from Josh, and has dominated the teenage robotics competitions in his neighborhood!

Sara Gold

Sara is our video production specialist, and one of our most inspiring team members. Beyond her artistic clips, Sara contributes practicality to our outlandish ideas, guiding our team towards success.

Sam Gold

Sam always has the brightest smile and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Watch out for this kid, someday soon he's going to burst out of his room an invention to knock your socks off!

Mark Erikson

Mark is a great electrical engineer, working for Mobilian, a San Diego wireless company. He is awesome at physics problems, finding the right solution to solidify our designs. Mark also loves sailing, taking our team our for relaxing rides in the bay.
